Through the SuperGIROS system, the government is working to ensure access to the funds. This is especially important in rural areas.

The first Renta Ciudadana payment of 2025 has begun

The National Government has launched the first Renta Ciudadana payment cycle of 2025, an initiative intended to ease the financial difficulties faced by the country’s most vulnerable families.

In this cycle, 546,761 households will begin receiving cash transfers intended to support their well-being and help reduce poverty.

The payments, available through January 30, will distribute more than $83,000 million through SuperGIROS.

One of the program’s main challenges is ensuring access to the funds in rural areas, where banking options are limited.

With more than 22,000 service locations throughout the country, SuperGIROS has become a strategic partner in this effort.

“We are committed to the country’s social development and to financial inclusion as a driver of transformation,” said Hugo Zurek, SuperGIROS manager.

Each eligible household will receive up to 500 thousand pesos, with the possibility of receiving 600 thousand pesos if they participate in the Devolución del IVA program.

These amounts provide significant support to families in vulnerable situations, particularly amid an economic climate that continues to face global and local challenges.

Since its creation, Renta Ciudadana has become a cornerstone of the National Government’s social policy, enabling thousands of households to improve their quality of life and reduce inequality.

People who want to check whether they are eligible for the program can do so on the Prosperidad Social website or by calling the citizen service line set up for this purpose.
