Ingreso Mínimo Garantizado (Guaranteed Minimum Income)
Starting January 17, the Secretaría Distrital de Integración Social (District Department of Social Integration) began making phased cash transfers through Ingreso Mínimo Garantizado (IMG; Guaranteed Minimum Income) to more than 256,000 households experiencing extreme poverty and vulnerability in Bogotá.
As part of the ‘Mejores Transferencias, Más Bien-Estar’ (Better Transfers, More Well-Being) strategy, more than 45,000 million pesos will be allocated for this first cycle of IMG cash transfers. The administration has planned more than $600,000 million to support IMG beneficiaries during 2025.
Payments for older adults included under the expanded coverage, people with disabilities, and young people will also be made in phases.
Details of the first cash transfer cycle
Starting January 17, the IMG strategy will begin payments for the first cycle of the year to the first group of beneficiaries, covering more than 256,000 households experiencing extreme poverty and vulnerability.
Transfers will be made in stages through digital wallets such as DaviPlata, Nequi, MOVii, Bancolombia a la Mano and Dale.
Total investment
For this first IMG cash transfer cycle, we will invest more than 45 billion pesos under the administration of Mayor Carlos Fernando Galán.
Starting this month, the amount of transfers for older adults increases to $150,000 per month.

The new IMG makes cash transfer payments to different population groups, as defined by the new targeting criteria.
